Over the recent years a considerable music scene has build up in Southern Italy, featuring deejays and producers with an excellent sound and a distinct artistic attitude. One of the finest to emerge from those parts is Adriano Filippucci, an artist whose undisputed musical talent has been shaped by a formal musical education and an uncompromising passion for the electronic dance music. There is something different in the way this guy makes his music and this specific attitude is heard in his tracks from the beginning to the end. The work on percussion is excellent and everything here is made with outmost precision – just as one would expect when dealing with a schooled musician. But what strikes you the most with Adriano Filippucci is a sense of deepnes his tracks have: it is like as if he has been able to back the ordinary soundscape with a whole new sound dimension, producing an extremely rich, but jet pure and simple sound. Valentino Kanzyani and his Jesus Loved You label crew were right once again: there is definitely something special about this guy and Polydrums EP is by all means an excellent release!
