voor de Underworld fans,

Underworld are back with the release of yet more new material, only a month after Lovely Broken Thing hit the streets, which marked the outfit's first foray back into the studio after two years of silence. Available for download exclusively from the group's dedicated live website (see link below), it is a 25 minute musical journey displaying an ethereal side of the act rarely seen before.

Along with the announcement of the new material, which is available as of now, new Underworld remixes are in the works, with Martinez, Pete Heller, Paul Woolford and Wighnomy Brother's Robag Wruhme all on remix duty, working on new interpretations of tracks included in the package.

The Pizza For Eggs project is a pilot for a series of what the group refers to as listening experiences that fall between a single and a fully-fledged artist album. It is an innovative way for disseminating music, as releasing smaller pieces at a time can be both interesting for the consumer and the producer. In fact, as the content is available at a small fee, the threshold for sharing in the experience is set at a very tempting level.

Being part of the larger Riverrun project, Pizza For Eggs reveals a deeper, downtempo and even experimental sound, complimenting the more upbeat and pounding workout of Lovely Broken Thing, the first in the new 25-minute release format, which featured the Jal To Tokyo track, which has been causing a stir among the world's finest jocks as of late.

Apart from providing the listener with a new series of sonic inspirations, the downloadable package is completed with a series of 444 photos of the band, full artwork and access to the website's archives. A very interesting initiative, which is likely to be picked up by many other artists as well.

Ik heb het zelf nog niet gehoord maar Underworld is altijd wel het uitchecken waard. 8-)
