Mooie nieuwe functies in versie 4:
- Will be called Cubase 4 without the SX. Cut down version will be Cubase Studio 4
- As you know, 4 new instruments [Pologue is an Analog Synth / Spector a spectrum filter synth / Mystic a Phsical Modelling Synte / HALion One will probably sound like Yamaha's Motif]
- 33 new VST 3 (note the 3) effects including Studio EQ, Vintage Compressor, ModMachine (seems to be semi-modular), AmpSimulator, new multiband compressor and a guitar tuner)
- Interface is redesigned for 'enhanced navigability; with a configurable channel strip and track inspector and new mixer functions
- There are tools to aid workflow the most noticable being SoundFrame which according to CM is probably similar the software part of NI's Kore enabling you to organise, preview and retreive patches form both software and hardware and also recall track presets.
- A Key element of SoundFrame is MediaBay a new browser and media file management system
- A new Instrument Track class will speed up handling of VST instruments and combine MIDI and plugin automation within the same track.
- Control room (take from Neundo 3)
- Enhanced score and notation features including a new setting dialogue, a symbol inspector and 2 new scroe fonts
- It says both version will be release some time in October at £630 for Cubase 4 and £280 for Cubase Studio 4. Upgrades for existing users will be availbel for a price.
