After more than five years of events with the best international and national DJs such as Jonathan Lisle (Bedrock), Chris Fortier, Anthony Pappa, Mick Wilson (TILT) and John Graham (Perfecto), The Sessions returns to Amsterdam. December 9th sees a new chapter in The Sessions Nights history. Intimacy is the word for a new era, as owner C-Jay exchanges the big venues for smaller close-knit clubs.
The night will feature a new line-up of DJs, a mixture of internationally established names, as well as home-grown talent that have built up their own following locally. With the emphasis on quality not quantity, the line-up has been hand-picked to fit the venue, namely, the classy Strand West club near to Central Station. Link: Strand West

The inaugural edition sees C-Jay (NL) play the main set. Owner and creator of The Sessions nights and -Recordings, this Dutchman is renowned for his releases on Plastic Park Records, 19Box, Cyber Records, The Sessions Recordings and Vapour Recordings. As a DJ he spins at Club NL, Catacomben, Club Rodenburg, Mazzo, Asta, Paradiso etc. in Holland and internationally he plays in Eastern Europe in numerous clubs such as Club Pacha in Galati
Fashion Club in Brasov [both Romania] and numerous gigs in Poland, Greece, Ukraine and Germany. He mixes for DFR and Proton radio. He is a real Dutch talent. Link: C-Jay
Paul Sparkes (UK) profile has been rising over the last few years, but 2006 has seen him land gigs in Panama, Escape, Patronaat, Mansion and Rockitt festival. With wildly successful tours in Israel and US completed this year, and tracks out on Silver Planet Records (UK), the future looks bright for the British-born artist. He contributes daily to 365Mag and runs a monthly show on Proton radio. Link: Paul Sparkes
Up-and-comer Adam Yehiel won the TWSTD talent competition in 2005, and has seen his profile grow in 2006. His warm, minimal and funky style sees him earn his first Sessions appearance. Adam is resident at DJ Café Max in the heart of Amsterdam, has played all over the city including Hotel Arena to rave reviews. He has also played live on Radio 3FM and spins weekly sets of up to 5 hours or more at his own DJ cafe. Expect a solid set from the man from the Med.

Strand West is renowned for its intimate yet classy atmosphere. Its excellent sound, light and décor is perfect for The Sessions Nights- the vibe make the venue the logical choice for C-Jay and co.
